A Life Update

I know I haven't posted since what seems to be eons ago, but exciting stuff have been coming my way since then.

The UP drum during graduation
First of all, I graduated from my Masters course... FINALLY!!! It took me years to complete the course, due to financial problems. But now I can finally say... that am a graduate of University of the Philippines-Diliman. Yay! I, along with my friend, am the first Deaf student to graduate there with a Masteral course so am feeling pretty proud of myself. I'm just so relieved that it is over. I have been waiting for a long time for it to happen. There were times I thought I would not graduate but I did!! That just goes to show that with patience and perseverance you can do anything. :)

Second, I published some articles in a local magazine. I must say that I am thankful because that magazine accepted me to work with them. To date, I have written five articles and there will be one more coming out this month. I'm pretty much elated because 1.) It's always been my passion to write 2.) Even if I was Deaf, they gave me a chance to write for them. 3.) It's such a thrill to be able to see my own name in the magazine. It's really such an incredible feeling to be able to tell people that I wrote for a magazine. Hopefully I will continue to write for them.

Third, I've been busy trying to get my career back on track. Trying to juggle work, studying, writing my thesis and tutoring a High School student did not do wonders for my career. Last school year, I am ashamed to admit that I was absent a lot and although I did my work well, my record was tarnished because of my poor attendance. So I have to focus on rebuilding my career for now.

Well, that is all for now.

Blessed Be.
