death of a butterfly

i found a dead butterfly... inside taal vista hotel.. in a bathroom stall, no less.. i don't know but it kinda touched me.. the butterfly lost its other wing.. i don't know why am affected but to me that's kinda sad, brutal, even.. what did the butterfly ever do the person who killed it?..

kind of like being Deaf, what did we ever do to the people who stare at us and tease us when we use sign language?.. did it even occur to them that although we can't hear what they say, that their actions speak louder than words?.. my sis told me that they probably just find it fascinating, sign language.. so we have to think that way, instead of thinking negatively.. thinking we are being laughed upon.. better to think about it positively than let it get to us..

utopia then for us Deaf is a place where there is no criticism.. a place where everyone is aware about us.. at least that's what i think so..

am alive again

finally.. am able to post here again.. only because i've been wanting to go live.. i've been keeping my thoughts to myself.. but realized i've more to share if i shared it with the world.. hopefully, now that i've opened my blog to the world, i will be able to reach out and touch more lives and raise Deaf awareness!!

worthwhile reading

i found this website by chance.. and it was really cool.. waterstone made this contest and got some authors to do short stories, too.. some of the authors who contributed were jk rowling and neil gaiman..

check out the gallery of stories written by ordinary people..

definitely worth checking out.. hope you enjoy it as much as i did!
