only in the philippines.....

.... will you see that mc donald's has rice meals, burger king has a beef tapa meal, sizzler's isn't really THE sizzler's, and jack-in-the-box doesn't sell fajitas.

..... people begin new year's day at 8 am on december 31. fireworks suddenly went vibrating(to you hearing, it went off) at that time and i thought "what the....???" of course, living in the philippines i pretty much expected it but it still shocks me every year.

..... during the new year, we wear clothes with polka dots (for luck with money), jump up and down (to be as tall as supermodels), eat circle shaped foods(for more, more luck with money), carry coins in our pockets (for more... you guessed it, luck with money) and put grapes in front of the door(guess why? yep, more luck with money). the fireworks?? i guess to start new year with a big, loud bang?

..... rain storms and the traffic that go with it are considered "normal".. HEHEHE.

..... and there's a law for us Deaf, blind, handicapped(refuse to say disabled as now fully aware am not disabled but clearly just part of the language minority) that is not practiced.
captioning isn't available for the Deaf and i think that should be fixed as the Deaf should be given the right to have access to information on TV. the blind can hear about the news, the crippled can just sit and listen to the news but the Deaf has to go find someone to interpret for them. does that seem fair now??

a happy new year to you.
