it's raining really hard in quezon city... internet connection is slow.... and my cellphone has no signal. turns out GLOBE has a down server. bummer... then i went online and tried chikka (this is free texting, guys!!).. good thing have got internet!!
saw CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS today at robinson's galleria. got myself some BO's coffee too. it was good. i had to eat at burger king.. coz the movie was starting. well, let me tell you what happened at burger king. i ordered a WHOPPER JR with cheese (yum but not very healthy, i know) and the cashier got my order wrong. i paid 200 pesos at first ( i thought.. WHAT THE HELL??!!??) but turns out she thought i was ordering 2 orders of the WHOPPER JR meal. geez. so i corrected her and she was fuming (at herself or at me??) so i thought i at least owe her an explanation. so when she came back to give me my order... i said, "sorry for the misuderstanding, you see, i'm Deaf"(in tagalog, of course) and she went all nice to me all of a sudden (compared to a sullen snobby face earlier).. what a difference, eh? but let me tell you, i get that quite a lot. i guess even if you're Deaf and can speak, there are still things that will happen to you. so lesson here?? don't know. i still feel better not talking and telling instead that i'm Deaf straightaway than speaking and not letting the person know that i'm Deaf. there are certain advantages there. less miscommunication there. but in a country such as the Philippines, when you're Deaf and you're a girl, and you're in a public place all alone... well, you can't really just give away that you're Deaf. am i making sense here? i don't know.
anyway my rating review for CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS --- a very good one!! even if without captioning i could get the gist of the story ... i even laughed out loud to myself... so yeah, i would recommend this movie if you need a good laugh. i always like tim allen's movies coz they're funny. i wanted to watch ALEXANDER but i was a bit pressed for time. between ALEXANDER, NATIONAL TREASURE, POLAR EXPRESS and XMAS WITH THE KRANKS... i went for XMAS coz i assumed i would understand it better.. never liked cartoons without the captioning anyway. so anyway this is all for now!!
